Has anyone tried this?
I just bought 2008 Fatbob fxdf (still waiting delivery) & was given a 2009 streetbob fxdb stock rear fender.
Also my FXDF comes with forward controls (which I want to stay with)
And was given take offs mid controls from a 2012 FXDF fatbob, I would like to use just the mid pegs.. 08 FXDF will have thunderheader..
Not at all sure if these will swap & fit..
Thanks for any thoughts on this!
IIRC, the rear is wider on the wide glide, and the fatty. Which would mean the fender is different. Measure the width between the two. Which fender is the 09? Is it the bobbed or the full length?
Yes, the mids will mount to the frame. Look underneath, you should see a tab with 2 bolt holes in it on each side. Not sure on the bolt size.
Thanks for ideas & advice!
I'm thinking Bobbed
Still mid next week before bike gets here from Nebraska... so direct compare not possible...
This a pic of fender, couldn't find any factory numbers on it..
The rear fender from the Street Bob is almost a whole inch narrower then that on the Fatbob, so it's not gonna work unless you really stretch it out with will more than likely damage it.
The miss will mount to your frame, not sure if your exhaust will be an issue though. I have forwards on my Street Bob and use the mids with modified shorter pegs all the time, of of my best mods.
