Race tuner/pc3
Hello guys..
Bought my 2007 street bob back in 2008 just before it was one year old... It had screaming eagle slip ons and screaming eagle stage 1 ac... I got reciepts for all the parts and work done on it.. It said screaming eagle power commander 3/race tuner (32107-01g)
I havent given it much thought before now where i am thinking of buying vance and hines big shots and thought that then i would need to get a new tune done. I sit down earlyer today and google the part number of the pc3 unit to read what people think of it. Now some of the first i read about it is that it is actually not attached to the bike. Only when you are doing the tune. I newer recieved the pc3 unit when i bought the bike. I will try to find the phone number from the dude and ask him if he still have it... Propably wont.
Now my next question is if it is long gone, what do i do then? I dont have any plans on doing any motor work other than change the exhaust. I am a guy who want everything to be 100% in order, so i do want the tune. But if i pay the local harley mechanic to dyno tune it, can he do that with whatever equiptment he has or do i need to buy a tuner? I dont think i will ever need to change it afterwards, so if i can do it without buying a tuner, then i would prefer to save the money.. What are my options guys? Ask if there is something i dont explain correct..

You will need the tuner to make any changes to the map. Here is what I suggest:
1. Try to find the guys number and call him.
2. If you can't, then put on the new pipe and run it. It will probably be close enough to work.
3. If it isn't and you have no more engine mods to and you have a qualified dyno tuner around your area, you can use his tuner and pay a license fee. (usually 150-200 for the license)
I think the bike will run fine on the current tune if it runs fine now.

It runs really nice now.. Pops sometimes if i do really hard acceleration and then just go to zero throttle.. But other than that i have no complains.. I think that i will just install tje new pipes look how it goes and then have a talk with my mechanic and se what he can offer me.. I know he does dyno tunes.. I am just so affraid to do harm to the engine... Running lean or something... So just for peace in my mind i might pay him to dyno it.. Hope if i just pay him a couple of hours he can edit the current map with his tuner?
