I'm having a stupidly hard time deciding what seat to get for my Wide Glide.
I want something that's comfortable but I HATE the looks of the big ol' cushions seats.
Is there a happy medium when it comes to comfort AND looks for a seat?
If so, suggest away, please! Also, I don't want to spend to much. Looking to keep it under $350 at the most for a 2 up seat.
Thanks,
Adrian
Check out www.diannashop.com. She can retrofit any seat with the most comfortable and best long lasting foam in the industry. She has over 20 years experience and did a great job on my brother's bike and so many others. Tell her what you need an she can retrofit your seat pan without changing the look of your bike. Been there, done that, and it is well worth it.
you going to be riding solo or with a passanger, i like the fast back for solo and the c&c sport tour if you will have a passanger. personally you can score seats so cheap on here and ebay, i have like 4 that i swap around depending on where we are riding that day
When I bought my bike it had a HD Badlander (see sig pic) that I initially was happy with.
I eventually came to the realization that... although I may choose to take my own life in my hands on the bike, I wasn't going to take anyone else with me.
I used to take my wife on the bike and my two teenage kids, but no more.
I got a solo seat, removed the passenger pegs, and my wife got her own bike.
I went with a C&C Solo w/stitched flames in keeping with my bike's "theme."
The seat is for sale ...if interested, send me a PM.
I am 5'8," but unlike Joeozark I definitely liked my forward controls.
I guess with my shorter inseam, I noticed a "falling off the back" feeling with the C&C seat. Plus my feet weren't as firmly on my pegs as they could be.
So my seat search continued...
I ended up going with a Le Pera Silhouette Deluxe.
It looks great and is comfortable enough to spend a few hours in. It also got me closer to my pegs and provides a wee bit more back support.

i have the mustange vintage solo (not the wide) with the small passanger seat and love the way it looks and feels
i had a corbin for a short time and hated it. it actually was painful to me even for short rides. it wasn't that it was too firm it was the shape and the feeling of sitting in a bowl that hurt my hips and dug into my legs
when i tried to explain this to the corbin guy because i wanted to exchange it or have it reworked or something this is what he told me " the seat forces your body into the proper riding position. If your posture and riding style is not good it might appear to be uncomfortable but that is not our fault"
