Default Studs on seat

Anybody put studs on the stock seat of their Utra Classic? Just wondering what it would look like.

Looks like it's a big no.

I may be the first one to try it. The seat looks like it has a good line to follow as well as the Tour Pak. The only thing that has me stumped so far is the drivers backrest. I may have to cut me an access point inside the pocket. I think I'll order the studs tomorrow and attempt this in a few weeks.

Every time I get on my seat there's a stud on it I'll take a pic of myself on the seat and show you what it looks like to have a stud on a seat

I don't know if it is true, but I wanted studs on my seat and my salesman told me I didn't. When I asked why he said "rust!"

Anything can develope rust but most of us keep our motorcycles in the garage and the chances are slim. Using chrome studs over nickel can cut the chances way down. I've studded many seats using both chrome and nickel studs and I thought both held up well. I studded my last motorcycle seat with nickel studsand rode it for5 years and 50,000 miles and rust was not an issue. It sounds like you salesman just didn't want to mess with it.

My salesman and I are good friends....I think he didn't want me to "out-do" his bike now thinking on it. My bike is garage kept too, but he was referring to washings and riding in the rain.

I haven't studded a drivers back rest before but like all back rest there has to be a attaching point and there you should find either where it is stapled shut(most HD back rest are done like this) and there you found your entry point. The thing I hate about HD backrest, well the ones with a tufted look. You have to undo the strings with the metal stops tied to them. talk about being PIA to undo and get hooked back once you finish.

Be sure to show some pictures if you stud it. I personally haven't ever studded a seat like that before but it should turn out good.
