Anybody with experience with the stock FXDXT seat? My girl can't ride on my badlander for more than 10 minutes so I am looking for a second seat for her comfort that will keep a somewhat low profile look on my bike. Is the FXDXT seat pretty decent? I like the badlander because it moves me back since I'm tall. I know another option is the C&C sport tour, but I can get a brand new FXDXT seat for 150 and the sport tour is 300.
I still have my stock DX seat for the same reason. Not sure if its the same seat as the DXT but i seem to think so. I ride the Badlander when its just me, or if were goin 2 up to bike night, but if its a trip outta town then the stocker goes back on for her sake. Its not BAD, just dosent fit the bike as well in my opinion as the badlander.
Id start on here in the classifieds and maybe ebay, you might be able to find a stock seat, or something even a little better someone pulled off and isnt gonna use again. Keep the badlander though for when its just you, its a good lookin seat on the dynas of any model.
The FXDXT seat is definitely different than the standard FXDX seat. I just sold the FXDX seat, and it was no wider than the badlander. The T seat is supposed to be more of a touring setup, see pics below:
The T basically looks like a Sundowner seat. As for other low profile seats I think your girl may need to use an airhawk or some lambswool if you don't want to switch to a big ugle sundowner or mustang.
Look into a C&C sport tour very comfortable seat for both passenger and rider and imo not as fugly as the sundowner. Also sits you 1" back and a little lower on my fxdf not sure with the Sbob. Look at their website for pics and if you want speak with Chuck, he'll hook you up with 10% for hdf members and no I dont work for them lol. Good Luck
