Sorry guys I just have another question about this bike, and that is the dealer is trying too get me too put an alarm on it when I purchase it and it's a lot of money too have it installed. My question is should I get it at this time or just wait and do it later? or do I need it at all? and the warranties they have shown me seems a bit much for a bike, but I think I should take a better look at everything again, what do you guys recommend?

Will I have too do anything right out the door once I purchase the Fat Bob? Will adding a audio system effect the bike in any kind of way? or is this too much? tell me if im asking too many question on here please, im just trying too my ducks in order so I can ride once the weather breaks and travel. Thanks
If you want a audio system then get one there will be no trouble in that. As far as the alarm go that is up to you too, for me I would say that is a little bit much, but I live and ride in an area that I would say is smaller risk than some of the big cities. Your not asking too many questions, when I bought my Sportster four years ago it had been thirty five years since I had ridden and this forum as well as others were a great help. They'll try and sell you on the 1000 mile check up and oil change and that as all the rest is totally up to you, but for me I did it myself. All you need is the service manual and some tools and of course this forum to help you along. Congrats on your retirement and enjoy riding once again.

Thanks Jeff, this has helped me a lot and I do appreciate all the help I can get. safe travels
They will try and sell you a lot of crap you don't need at the dealership. Remember all that money spent isn't going to bring up the value of the bike. Headphones are pretty cheap audio The alarm isn't going to stop someone from putting it in a truck bed mad driving off with it. Just my .02 good luck
