I have a 2007 Dyna that has a detachable windshield. When it is below 45 I put it on, but hate it! It works and is easy to put on, etc. I never ride with it if the temp is above 45-50. It's the first bike I've owned that had a windshield. It does help in the cold though.

See I have a quick detach for my fxdwg.. I normally dont use it because I rock a full face. With the windshield on it shakes my helmet so bad I can't go over 45mph. So not sure what causes it but I leave the windshield off 99% of the time..

I wear a full face so I usually don't worry too much about debris from the road. Besides, the wind shaking keeps me awake

I prefer the look & feel of riding without a windshield. I generally use my screen in the Spring & Fall, which in New England, is a total of about a week each!
