Zero. The cat is in the muffler. The Swithback has the cat in the collector tube AFTER the header pipes. No HD has cats in the header pipes. Not enough room. The header pipes terminate into a collector that has a cat tube welded to it.
I think 10 was the first year of the cat in the muffler for Dyna's. If you see a heat shield on the muffler it has a cat. The 14 Sportsters just got cats in the muffler for the first time.
So, if it is not a Switchback then slipon's would do the trick.
Thanks 4x4......just so I understand fully........
If the stock mufflers are removed......so goes the cat?
2010 & newer....on the FXDC & FXDB the cats are in the muffler bodies. In the FXDF, FXDWG & FXD, the cat is in the collector.
It looks like you have an '11 FXDC...so if you remove the stock mufflers & replace with slip-ons the cats are gone.

this is not all that true unless i am reading it wrong, the cat is in 2010 and up fat bob and wide glide pipes, (i am pretty sure) it sits behind the union in the collector where the flat box is, here is a pic.. again i am not 100% with this but i know we ahve removed cats from a few fat bob header pipes
i have a 2014 switchback. i assume the cat is in the header pipe just before the muffler. put on aftermarket slipon. not loud at all. im going to pull off muffler and try to drill out cat .any advice before i do this?
Joe is right & what I think he's is saying, is that just changing the slip-ons on a Fat Bob, Wide Glide or Switchback will not get rid of the cat. The collector is welded to & is basically part of the head pipes, which is where the cat is located on those models.
The OP has an FXDC, which has the cats in the muffler bodies & changing slip-ons will remove the cats on that model, same as the FXDB.
