I've got the Ohlins 3-3 (separated) from MM on my Wide Glide and the Bitubo WME's (separated) on my Road King CVO. Both shocks are a vast improvement over stock Dyna shocks, even the stock CVO "sport" shock.

Here's the blog entry on my Bitubos: http://ridingtwoup.wordpress.com/201...-for-pcb-trip/

This was the original write-up on the Ohlins:
http://ridingtwoup.wordpress.com/201...ing-follow-up/

The Ohlins are decidedly more plush than the Bitubos, but they also make the bike sit up a lot higher when the bike is unladen. Not a big deal to me, but there are a lot of folks who have a hard time with the back-end of a bar hopper looking jacked-up when it's sitting in the parking lot. The Bitubos have less stoke and don't lift the rear end of the bike up like the Ohlins but, then again, they also don't have as much positive or negative travel.

I'd like to try a set of Ohlins on our Road King just to do a head-to-head comparison with the Bitubos, but just don't want to pony up the $$ for the sake of curiosity. However, as you note, Dan at Traxxion Dynamics is a big fan of the Bitubos and notes that they can sell you Ohlins, Penske, Bitubo, etc. However, they decided to offer the Bitubos as a complimentary shock to their front fork cartridges as they found them to be the "best match".

Great write ups! I think I'm going to give the bitubos a shot. Seems like nobody is running them on their dynas but I don't mind being the guinea pig

Bitubo does a lot of stock-bike supply for some of the a Euro manufacturers. Some very sporty Ducati and MV Augusta models. They make aftermarket performance stuff too. It's a good shock. My only concern would be their somewhat limited presence in the US for warranty/repair.n
