And the big follow up question, does it work? Been toying with the idea of a fork brace for a while now myself....

It was tough to say because I did a long ride with loaded bags yesterday, then shot around on a naked bike today so it naturally felt lighter and more responsive. I'll hit some sweepers fast tomorrow and see how bad the wobble is and follow up.

Thanks Joe!

So fork brace report. The bike felt more true on the straights at high speeds, didn't hit any big sweepers today, but I surprisingly noticed it most when I hit bumps. The bike didn't want to wobble side to side or steer away, it just sucked up the bump and went straight.

I don't think it's the end-all, be-all fix for everything, but I'm one of the guys that say it's worth it.

Anyone have trouble getting the brace on over powder coated caps?
Edit: never mind I thought it went over the caps but it doesn't I guess... I'm dumb

Here's what I had to do to mine to make it fit. First, my brace is the discontinued H-D Screamin' Eagle for the '06 Wide Glide. Like the ad copy of yours, said it wouldn't fit with fluted dust caps (mounts too low and hits the fender).

I wanted to keep my fluted caps, so I removed my fender and hogged-out the mounting holes so it would sit lower, closer to the tire.

This gave me about a red shop-rag's worth of clearance between brace and fender.

Hope this helps.

heres my opinion: if you install a fork brace and don't notice the difference it makes then you don't ride it like you stole it...and probably don't need it
