Default Suspension

Hello everyone. I am going to upgrade my suspension for this coming summer on my 04 Dyna SG. I was hoping to get some ideas. I weight about 220 do mostly solo riding but do 2up at times as well..I was looking into the progressive 970s but have read there are other companies as well that are just as good for less money. So please share any information you have.

Also might look into doing the fronts as well but that is really confusing to me lol

I'm pretty happy with my Progressive 440s but would rather have Works or Ohlins. But they were more than twice the price. You need HD series in Progressives or tell other makers your weight before ordering.

I picked up my 970's new for 700.00. I weigh 190 give or take a few beers & set my sag for 2 up at 1" (340 lbs). When riding solo I just turn down the compression dampening about 5 clicks (you can adjust it while riding down the road). Ive been over curbs, R/R crossings, pot holes etc... and all it does is make me smile.

Back in my FXR days, I always ran Works Performance. They are great people to deal with. I'm putting a set on my 2011 FLTRX 103 next week.

I put a set of Legend Suspenion's air ride on my Super Glide Custom and I couldn't be happier. They work for a wide range of uses. It is really nice being able to change the pressure with the push of button and on the fly. Helps when my wife rides with me. I can lower it down so she gets on easy and pump it up so she will stay on longer. The ride quality is like riding on a cloud if you have it set right.
