Squidhead was kind enough to sell me his Ohlins HD909 13" shocks. I got them on and adjusted this morning.
After a 40 mile 40 degree ride through the Georgia countryside, I can say for sure that they seriously outperform the 12" Progressive 412s I was running. The typical jolts and disruptions are gone.
Thanks a lot Squidhead!!
Traxxion springs, Ricor Intiminators and Michelin Commander IIs are goin on Friday.
Great looking bike! I've never tried the Online. I had Progressive's 970s on a bike recently and they were outstanding, I decided to give the 412s a try on another bike and wasn't impressed at all.
Good to hear that! Don't forget the 13" has a lot more travel compare to 12", a smoother ride for sure. BTW what did Squidhead sell them?
Suspension upgrade is always worth it!

Thanks Boosting1bar. I appreciate the comment. I see you are in Melbourne, do you ever get up toward Savannah? I go as far south as Amelia Island routinely and a Daytona a couple times a year.

Yeah, Squidhead is apparently vertically-challenged and wanted slightly shorter shocks. He made the offer and I jumped on it. I was planning to get the Works Performance shocks from Southeast Custom Cycles but they never responded to emails. I was about to order them from a SoCal company when Squidhead wrote to me. I saved enough to help with the purchase of sone front suspension stuff.
Seriously jealous of your soon to be suspension set up!
Enjoy the ride!
It can be done cheaper than you think.
I learned yesterday that Motorcycle Metals sometimes offers special discounts to HDF members. His JRI shocks that are normally more than $800 can be had for just over $500.
The Traxxion Springs and Intiminators are roughly $300.
Just skip a few decorative mods and the suspension can be real good. I don't even have my springs in yet and I already regret not doing it sooner.
