Second dunlop on my rear and only got a little over 6k miles on it.
That's ridiculous and I'm done with that company.
Going to a michelin commander II, AND I'm mixing brands for the first time since I was a youngster just to see if mixing treads really makes a difference.
I really don't think it will matter but we will see.
For you so. cal. folks, Mickey Cohen Motorsports gave me an awesome price...$158 for the tire and $50 to mount and balance. Very fair and he has done quite a bit of work for me over the 2 years I've had this bike. One of the top dyno guys in the whole so. cal. region. I highly recommend him and his staff.
I just installed 2 michelin commander II before christmas, paid $300cad for pair shipped. Now I am waiting for a warm day to test ride, possibly tomorrow lol. Keep you posted!
I mounted Commander IIs front and rear about 7,000 miles ago.
At this point, the rear is about half worn, the front hardly at all. Previously the best I'd ever gotten out
of a Dung-Flop rear was 6,000. I haven't had the "opportunity" to really ride far in rain(I live in the desert),
but otherwise I'm very satisfied with the handling.
I've only put about 1000 miles on my Commander II's so far but they are way better than the stock Dunlops I took off. I don't see any wear yet and they wouldn't know a tar snake if they seen one.
Same here,I installed MC11 last June and put 5000 kms on them and you'd think they have never been ridden, they look that good. These tires handle very well, even in the rain they performed great.I will be staying with these tires.
I mounted Commander II's two years ago and have a little over eleven thousand miles on them and the tread is still way deep. Twenty thousand miles for me not a problem, that is if my health and good luck hold up.
