Default OEM tires ?

My 2014 has some Michelian tires on them from HD are they ok tires? Grip / miles ect

Should I be concerned about changing them. I have 12 miles on them ... to cold to ride ITS WINTER

But if they are not recomended I might as well change before season.

Thanks

Keep the stock Michelin Scorcher tires...no need to waste money unnecessarily. They are descent, and you should get about 10,000 miles out of both. I've been happy with mine, but will go to the Michelin Commander IIs next time for longer wear.

I have 10k on mine and they still have decent tread. They did get a little hard and shiny over the past 1000 miles. I'm changing to Michelin Commander II tomorrow though.

A few opinions on the tires.
I'd never choose them as replacements because there are many better options for lower prices.
They wear well, but as I said, the rubber will eventually get hard.
Handling didn't really suffer, for the first 9000 miles, but they aren't the best tires either. Just OK in my opinion, but not something you need to worry about swapping right away. Trust me, you will find dozens of better things in which to spend your money.

BTW, I would have no problem running these tires out through a full life, but I just put some Ohlins shocks and I'm upgrading the front suspension, so I wanted a fresh start on tires to complement the changes.

The only thing I didn't like about the Michelin Scorcher tires was the HD bar and shield logo that is hollowed out of the edge of the tire. When in corners and leaning it sets up vibration that a lot of the fellows complain about. I went with the Michelin Commander II's though and will get them again. Good grip and great mileage and no vibrations.

I have 8700 miles on mine and the rear tire is getting close to gone. The center tread is history. Front tire still looks good. I am going to try the Commander IIs myself.

Why change a tire at 12 miles? Handling wise the scorchers are pretty decent tires, the only problem that Ive experienced with them was getting it on in corners on smooth pavement. Common sense will prevail lol I got 8000 miles on the rear but probably should have changed it at 7K. Got about the same wear on a Dunlop K591. Trying the commanderII next
