Do you have a touring seat? Part number 51472-06. I'm thinking of getting one for long trips. How do you like it? Does it touch the sissy bar uprights? Pics? Thanks.
Bought one to help with passenger comfort. I am currently using the touring seat on my Dyna, tried the Sundowner but liked the feel of the touring seat a little better.
It just touches the sissy bar uprights, i have quick disconnects on mine and have no problem with removing the bar and putting it back on with the seat in place. Sorry no pictures at this time. bike has been put away for winter storage.
Got one on my 2013 FXDF. Here it is without a sissy bar:
Looks quite chunky and disturbs the flow of lines when no one is sitting on the bike. So, its not for show, but you probably knew that.
And here it is with sissy bar:
Yes, the sides of the pillion seat touch the sissy bar uprights. Cant say nothing about ease of removal of the latter, as I have bags mounted.
The Touring seat has improved pillion rider comfort a lot and mine a bit, both compared to the stock seat. It puts you in a position thats a bit more forward and higher, again compared to the stock seat.
