Hi all! I'm new to the Dyna world. I asked this question on the Roadglide Forum for my 2013 Road Glide Custom and ended up with CFR slip ons, which are fantastic.
Anyway, I picked up a 2010 Wide Glide, with 1388 miles a couple weeks ago. It has the SE a/c, V & H slip ons and the dealer download. While it sounds way better than stock, it just sounds weak compared to my RG.
Now I know some of you that have been here a while will be sick of another exhaust thread, and I apologize for that, but the quick links above for exhaust don't seem to be working, and searching was taking a long time.
I like the looks of the 2 into 2 pipes, and the V & H Big Shots sound great, but everyone has them. What are some other great options?
Thanks!
There are so many options as well as subcategories ie: 2-1, 2-2 etc that your going to get more confusion than clarity. I guess the first question would be what looks good to you when you see other Wide Glides? It goes along the same line as when you see someone of the opposite sex, what color and length hair catches your eye? Once you determine the eye appeal aspect, then you can start working on Brand and finally how you want it to sound. To me for example a Dyna looks awesome with two pipes that end just before the wheel nut in black, but as you can see that's my eye appeal.
I love my SuperTrapp Mean Mothers Drag pipes! I am very happy with the sound and being from Supertrapp, they are a blast to run. The sound is deeper than VH drag pipes. Here is a video of them;

I definitely like the two pipes, and did the black thing on an old bike, so I'm going to stick with chrome on this one.
Rush slip-ons with 2" baffles. Deep, beefy and heavy sound, yet not crazy loud. I've tried several different sets on my Street Bob, but these are by far the best. At least for me. Just my 0.02 euro cents.
As much as I disliked the issues it caused with my ABS unit, the V&H Big Radius 2-1 had an awesome deep rumble. It wasn't obnoxiously loud either, but my wife and neighbors said they could feel its rumble through the walls when I came home at night.
If you don't like its shape, I'm sure the V&H Propipe has a similar rumble, but I've never heard it in person.
Bassani Pro Street 2-2!!!!!! Very deep rumble to them, pretty loud but since they have a deeper tone they arent ear piercing. And not many people have them! Only saw one other bike at Sturgis with them this year. I have heard they are also a pretty good performing pipe for being a 2-2 pipe. Going by seat of the pants, I think they perform great. Absolutely recommend them!
