Everytime i buy a bike i have a vision of what i want it to look like, and altough i get ideas and add them to my bike it still turns out to what i wanted, sometimes even better. Does anyone else have that in mind when you buy one, or do you just add stuff as you go along.. some of the bikes here just have a real concept to them.. some just look like they added chrome .. all look good though.
I ordered my bike through the H-D1 process and had to wait about 70 days fir delivery. During that period, mupy vision came to focus. I ordered a bunch of stuff and planned more.
The original vision was a slammed ape-adorned bobber with a lot of black to complement the orange paint. I was almost done after 10 months when I decided I missed good handling and more of a long-road worthy bike.
Vision 2.0 was easier (but more expensive) than anticipated.
I changed to:
Longer, better quality Ohlins shocks.
Upgraded fork internals.
Color matched Memohis Shades Gauntlet fairing.
MX bars on 11" Forbidden Motorcycle risers.
Luckily my pipe worked well with both styles.
The only thing I have left is detachable bags. I already have the bags, the detach kit from Cycle Visions, and most of the parts I need to re-address turn signal locations.
I have to say, both visions came very close to their original ideas.
My Vision's are not so much the pretty chrome thingy McBobs. I am more a what makes the scooter **** and get kind of visionary I like when i pull in to the local pub and my beard is all in tathers and the locals say holy crap where you been. And i smile and simply say out for a ride
