Default Exhaust And Tuner Question.........

Whats Up Gent's.............
Looking to get a good Exhaust and tuner............Here's whats on the Bike now.
Stage 1 SE Air Intake.
FL-Xieds - 10.
As far as Exhaust goes can anyone tell me the big difference between 2 into 1 and 2 into 2 systems ??????
What is a good exhaust ?????
As far as tuner, I would be looking for reliability and ease of changing maps for future mods...........
Thanks..................

Big difference between 2-2 pipes and 2-1 is the 2-1's will give you more horsepower. I run the V&H propipe and love it. If you can't handle the looks of the 2-1 then the V&H big shots will give you great performance for a 2-2 pipe.

You'll get a bunch of different replies for the tuner. You need to do the research and decide what's best for you...don't just go by what the majority here will tell you. No matter what brand you choose..I would reccomend a tuner that reflashes the ECM and a tuner that you can adjust all aspects...not just fuel.

Good luck in your search.

As rooti mentioned above, there are tons of options for tuners but if you think there's any chance you'll make more changes in the future then buy a tuner that will allow you to flash and reflash your ECM to your heart's content. I personally like the PowerVision because I'm dumb and need a nice graphical interface . The basic autotune function on the PV is great for dialing in your tune on your own and doesn't really require much input at all from you.

As for exhausts, there are a lot of options. I had the V&H 2-1 Comp series on my Fat Bob until I lowered the bike, then I didn't have enough ground clearance and had to change it out. It's still for sale in the classifieds if you decide you're interested in a 2-1. For 2-2 I think the Rinehart crossbacks look and sound awesome.

I'm sold on Power Vision for a tuner. Exhaust I say 2-1. I Like the Thunderheader, D&D Fatcat, V&H Propipe and the Bassani RR2. Don't know if you can really go wrong with any of those, its what suits your taste.

Exhaust decide if you prefer looks and sound or performance. .go from there. Sometimes the pretty/cool sounding exhausts are terrible for performance. Not always, but more often than not.

Tuner. .how far will you go? Don't fall into the hype for any "quick" or "easy" tuner. PowerVision w/ AutoTune is a good option because you can get a nice tune by yourself, and if ever needed, get a real tune by a tuner with the same module. Same goes for TTS, but a lot more research needed to use it properly.
