stock lowrider seat

I had replaced my stock seat with the HD pillow look seat , so the wife had some comfort. The seat works great for the both of us but I would like a solo just for me when I am alone with the buds. Has anybody out there cut down or had there stock seat cut down to make a solo. If the seat could be cut down it would look just like the one they are using on the bobber. I know I should just go buy one but I hate to waste, I have the old seat and you can't get anything for them and my wife can't understand why I would ever need another one . They just don't understand us!!! HD wants over 3 hundred bucks for the one they are using on the bobber. Why so much for a solo when your only getting half a seat.

Try Mustang or Bar Enterprises http://www.harleyseats.com/. Solo Mustang, no fringe or studs is about $165.00 at discount. I have one I alternate with my Bar Enterprises custom seat for long travel, is very comfortable. HD does make a smaller solo seat for the pre-'03 model Dyna line, it's about $150.00 or so. Sorry, I don't know the part number. Late model Sundowner seat is $249.99, cheaper at Zanotti's. Here's a picture of my Bar Ent. seat, $278.00 to my door.
