Are the stock OEM shifter linkage rod ends replaceable on a 95 dyna wide glide?
One have been worn out and the ball on the end of the stud does not stay in, zip ties did the job the end of the season, lol
I usually replace them with one of the good heim joints from the local hardware store, and I replace both ends while I'm at it. Just find the heim that matches the threads on your rod (i can't remember it offhand). I use grade 8 allen bolts to mount to the shifter arm and tranny arm, but stainless could be used, should be plenty strong enough for that purpose, and polishes up nice too.
I looked at it last night when i got home and the ends arn't removable, I took the Linkage cover adapters off, and there's no threads or anything, it's on solid piece, so I'll just be buying a whole new one, but thanks for the info everyone, i really appreciate it
