I've had the K&N Street Metal intake on my Fat Bob for about 2 years now. Up until recently I had it paired with Python Mamba slip-ons with no fuel management. I recently installed a ProPipe chrome and a V&H Fuel Pak. Now every other ride or so I notice some oil on and above the timing cover. I felt the backplate of my air cleaner and there was a nice film of oil. I did recently change my engine oil and made sure to check the levels closely. Is this normal? I remember seeing a little oil inside my stock air filter cover when I removed it and installed the K&N. Thanks for any information, y'all.

 

This is a common thing with Dyna's. Do a search theres quite a few threads on this. Nothing to worry about.

 

When I do my oil changes, I fill the oil res. until it's about 1/2" from the full mark on the dipstick. I do this on both dynas and no oil carry over in the air cleaners. Check the hoses from the heads for cracks or loose fitting connections.
