Right on man let me know how it goes. It's gotta be 100 times easier on a lift.

Looks like if everything doesn't line up right it will be easy to cross thread. I put my stock bolts back in it, think I'm gonna wait til I can get it on a lift
yes you could cross thread them so be careful. That is where having two people helps. I did mine on a the jiffy stand, with a buddy. He had already done his so it was actually pretty easy. It did take a while to make everything line up perfectly. Are you doing the front also?

I put that new vt front mount on the bike and it has a stabilizer built into it. The main issue I was facing was with the top 3" bolts. The rear isolator seems to be tweaked. The forward bolt wants to line up low and the rear bolt wants to line up high (possibly the other way around, not important). When I jack the motor/ tranny it helps but it stops moving the isolator eventually and starts just picking the entire bike up. I think it's close enough to get the bolts in, through the tranny but I'd really have to force them in. Did you have the same issues? I loosened up the front mount at the frame and it helped but it still won't quite get where it needs to be. I got hit and stuffed my primary into some ******** rear wheel a couple years ago so I'm wondering if that could have tweaked anything

Sorry I'm not more help. Mine went together pretty easily. We did have to raise and lower the jack to get the bolts to line up. Maybe you have something bent? It might be worth it to take the rear wheel off?

Might be good to take the rear wheel off to get a better access view? Take some pics of your issues.

Yes sir! Didn't realize I never updated, sorry man. Lots of fighting and cursing but I got it all together, was much easier on my new lift. I could tell the difference as soon as I hit the freeway, tightened the bike up even more then it was after the suspension upgrades. I'd post pics but it's pretty hard to even see what your looking at cuz it's really tucked into the frame and hidden

Did you take the rear wheel off or were you able to get in there?? I've read in the past it's a B&%ch!! Once I move in July and have snowy winters again I plan on doing the VT front mount and the Spruthe rear.

What was the difference you felt? Was it just lighter in the bars turn/weaving or just more one with the road??

Rear wheel stayed on. I wasn't having issues with the rear facing bolts, those went right in. I was over thinking it, because I was afraid to maul the long top bolts by trying to push them through the isolator. After moving the motor up and down and a little careful prying I was able to push them through by hand. I didn't want to tap them through with a hammer. Also had to move the main harness to the side to clear the bracket and rotate the banjo fitting til everything was together. Should have done a write up but I was frustrated and it was late.

The front suspension, I would say, made the bars feel lighter. I would explain that rear stabilizer as making the bike tighter and more planted with the road. No more wobble at high speeds and sharp left/ right turns quicker. If I could keep my damn pipe off the ground I'd be in business. The vt mount seems to be of really great quality, we'll see if it stands the test of time to really make it worth the money. Another great thing about the vt mount is the integrated stabilizer link that is hidden behind it so you don't have it hanging out front like some of the other front stabilizer links, which honestly I kinda like the look of that kind of stuff so it wouldn't bother me even if it was hanging out

Cool!! You validated my assumptions. I have that wobble and it would be nice when it's all gone. I had a tank slapper once, but that was because of a crap rear tire. Went back to a stock Dunlop and it was gone, but have that very slight jiggle if I force it or hit a bump in a hot turn. I think once I do the VT, sputhe and the matching Avon rear I'll be very happy. Thank for the info!!
