I'm needing to disassemble these to have them powder coated. I've taken apart several of the other sets of dyna shocks with the retaining ring on top. These are a first. My question is how to do you disassemble? I have a spring compressor, but not sure once these are compressed how I pull apart to relieve tension?

if you have done others, you can do these.
I have disassembled the WG shox, but it was 6-7 years ago/
Thanks for the vote of confidence mud. What im puzzled about is relieving tension. I can compress the spring a couple inches. However other dyna shocks have the retaining ring conveniently located on top and im not sure if its under the top chrome cover on these. I shouod have sometime tomorrow to try and make it happen. I will take pics of my findings for others.
