The Ultima Thundervolt AGM batteries are also good and reasonably priced. I've been getting about 5 years average out of them, about the same as the stock Harley batteries. Only ran them in Dyna and sportster though.

Default HD battery is too much$$!! What else is there?

I just don't know if it's worth $130 on a battery from Harley. What are you guys running, is it better than the hd battery and how much was it? Thanks boys!!

Harley don't make battery's. Any battery of your size and best CCA will do.

Depends on how soon you need it. I've had to put new batteries in both my Dyna and my Softail and I used the same method: Advance auto parts sells and AGM direct replacement for about $110-$120. They constantly have online coupon codes that give as much as $50 off. Order it online, pick up in store. Once I did it on my smartphone while I was standing in the store. Check with Slickdeals.com.

Really depends on how you factor too much money. Replacing it every 18-24 months at $85-$150 a pop or once every 5-10 years. Me I prefer to buy once, pay for the best technology available which is why I bought a Shorai Lithium Iron Battery. It lasts longer, is truly maintenance free, and it weighs 1/5th the weight of the traditional battery and has a higher Amp output. Priced between $185-$200. My bike loves it. BTW my HD battery only lasted 9 months.
