So I have stock bar and risers on my '13 Wide Glide, and I'm looking to move the bars up and back. My question is what are my hight options with the stock cabling. I'm thinking just a little longer risers for now until I can afford to upgrade the cables and wiring. What I need to know is what size diameter are the stock bars and how much higher can I go on the risers? The stock risers are 4.5" in. tall. Was thinking of either of these.
Both are for 1" bars and I'm not positive of my stock bar size. I'm also not sure if the 6.5's are too tall. Eventually want to do apes, but wanna wait til next year.
more than a couple of inches and you'll need to recable.
That's what I thought and why I wasn't sure. Even those harley risers are saying 1" handlebars. And I can get the drag specialties in black without the HD price lol. So would that confirm they are 1" bars?
Stock wide glide bars are 1.25", and the highest u can go on stock cables is about 10 inches. That height can vary depending on how much pullback u have.
hmmm they have the pullback kit in both 1" and 1.25" diameters listed in the what fits my bike section.
easiest way to verify whats installed is to measure the circumference of the bars. if is bigger than 3.5 " its a 1.25" if its smaller than 3" its 7/8" and if its between those 2 its 1"
Well I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a 6.5" pullback that is for a 1.25" bar for a decent price. Funny how if you go from 1" to 1.25" (with the same height) the price almost doubles.
That's the closest I can find. If anyone else can find anything better priced in the same style, it would be greatly appreciated. Also if we have any sponsored vendors on here that can offer comparable pricing for a similar item, I'd go that route to support our people.

Reason: Added new info.
you may even want to look into some spacer Jims riser spacers, hats what I used until I could get the bars I wanted, I actually just had my bars on last week and have my spacers laying around if you are interested in that route.
