I've been debating what I wanted to do with the exhaust on my Switchback. I've had the V&H slip-on and XIEDs since it was almost new, over the winter I picked up a K&N high-flow af and Fuel Moto Micro EFI tuner(not installed yet).
The cat. in the stock SB pipe throws a ton of heat, its like a furnace in hot weather, this is the main reason I wanted to do something, any extra performance is a bonus. My choice was gut the cat. or get a new system.
Fuel Moto has the best price I could find on the Pro Pipe, I decided to go for it.
I know I said performance is only a bonus...but I'm anxious to feel how much better it runs with a full stage 1. Everything I've read says the Pro Pipe makes good power.
The pro-pipe does make good power. From what V&H told me that was the sole purpose in making that pipe. I have enjoyed mine but feel it is too long. I called & talked to one of the techs there, I wanted to see if they made a shorter one? He went over the design & how it is all designed for horsepower, that's it. Similarly to how & why the thunderheader looks the way it does. I do prefer the sound of the TH but I think the finish looks bad. You'll love the pipe. Fuelmoto moto has a tune that is spot on. Great people to do business with!
I was in a coffee shop in a small town in Connecticut when I heard a Harley start up that sounded great, even at idle. I walked outside and it was a Street Bob with a Pro Pipe. I waited 'til the guy pulled away. He knew I was checking it out so he got on it and went through a few gears. It was a unique and deep sound. I personally liked it. It was much different than a 2 into 2 though. As for the length I think it will not look so pronounced on the Switchback with the saddle bags. It does take some getting used to on other Dynas though.

The day before I ordered the Pro-Pipe I passed on getting a Samson Powerflow III at an awesome price from an SB forum member because I wanted the longer and quieter pipe. The long muffler fits with the Switchback's lines better and hey, if its that way for more power, that's even better
I've listened to the vids and the PP sounds good.....Now I can not wait to hear it "for real".
