Default bumpy roads will kill it

My son in laws 01 wide glide will die when you hit a bump , it will restart right away about 90% of the time , it used to die while just riding at a steady speed ,replaced start/stop switches which took care off that problem then this shows up 3 months later .Any help will be appreciated ,Thanks.

The first thing I would check is battery connections and ground.

I am no Carb guy I am a FI guy so I dont know if this is even valid but when was the last time the carb was serviced? If sounds like you are getting Spark. The 3 things you need are spark, fuel and air to get a bang. Sounds to me like when you hit a bump you are losing fuel.

I see you checked the battery, but did you look at the ground cable to the frame, like 128auto said?

Could still be your ground to the frame as 128auto said, but you also have to on/off switches. one is the run/off on the handlebars which you changed, and the other is the key switch have you checked both?

How old are the actual battery cables? I've had friends chase a similar issue without the bumps. Was about a season and a half of intermittent dying. Replaced 5 year old cables no problems after that.

yes we checked ignition switch terminal connections on first go-around while diagnosing handlebar switches .had to remove tank to get to splice connections because the concealed wiring in bars terminated in backbone ,was a bitch to get harness pushed up from swingarm area to front of backbone as I wanted to check the integrity of those terminations , voltage drop on cables proved out to be good.

Check circuit breakers next time it happens. Could be a dud breaker or could be a short somewhere when hitting bumps that trips the breaker. (Explaining why it will restart ok almost stright away, after the breaker resets itself.)
That short tripping the breaker could be anywhere on the bike. I would start looking around the rear tire / tail light wiring etc that could get hung up on a bump as the tire moves.
