The weld on the blind nut has broken.

You will need to get some Vicegrips in there. When you get it out, you will need to either weld the nut back on or get a new mounting plate.

Might want to think about taking the wheel off and giving yourself some room.

Another option would be to just nut and bolt it when you put it back together.

Well sad to say but the little peice of SHHtttt metal receiver is broken off, is my best guess. So here's what I would try. Reach in and you will find the metal strip that held the bolt receiverpry that open a bit and get a grip with some long nose pliers. Then use an allen wrench or whichever one is appropriate and unscrew the bolt. You will need a new strip sold at HD. Lay down on the ground and look up if you need to, it may be good to have some extra hands with you. Or you could run a couple of bolts fom the inside out with washers and a locknut and make them detachable, sold at any local hardware!

If you talking about the nut (fastener thing) you may try vise grips & some WD 40. Check out this website for your bike.

Would be easy to just drill it . Not like you will reuse the bolt ?

picture a nut behind the fender that is not welded down. There is nothing wrong with the bolt itself.
