Seeing you "name" or login has Seattle in it...I will assume you live there, or in the area....

You might want to rethink lowering your bike. The roads here are not the best and lowering your motorcycle will only enhance the terrible roads we have in the city and highways...

Yeah! I have noticed our some of our roads sucks. I blame on the rain. water eats everything.

Im planning on replacing my stock shocks with one inch shorter. Im just 165lbs, might just work

Our wide glide came with 11 inch shocks. Solo it did good. 2 up didn't fair to well with me. So i went to 12 inch and I'm good now.
If you ride solo almost always then the 11 inch should work for you but with 2 up they will bottom out at every hole you hit. Tire should not be a problem. Handling is reduced very slightly, not to be concerned with in my opinion.
