Default Front Fork Dust Caps

Have a 2006 SG with the chrome front fork dust caps. Do these just slide up like many Japanese bikes so you can clean the junk out of the seal cavity? Thanks.

I just changed mine on my 2010 Fatbob and they DO slide up, albeit with a little force. The directions said to use a brass (soft metal) drift and drive them upwards. My forks had a little notch cutout in one location on the lower fork leg that provides the placement of the drift.

Thank you EricinNCal. Mine also have that slot on each fork leg. Will use that to drive them up.
