Like BA73 stated, once you have bags on the bike you will realize how much convenience they provide. I found myself picking up 18 packs of beer, fried chicken and tater chips on the way home. I am in the process of adding hard bags to my bike to replace these. The ones in the pic were 299 plus the matching support brackets. It was a lot of money for aftermarket soft bags. I rode to GA and back from MD with them, part of the way in driving rain. They are waterproof but I didn't close the one well one time and got some water inside but not alot and it was two hours of driving rain.. I'd do that ride again tomorrow though. Anyhow, once you get them on the bike you may never take them off. The bags in the pics had some thin plastic that gave them shape and structure. The backing panel started to deform over the summer, probably ABS and the heat slowly got to them. I was going to put some additional plastic inside them to firm them up but decided to go to hard bags. I'll be selling these as soon as I get off my butt and post them or put them on ebay.
Thanks for the help, I have my Saddleman sissybar bag that I leave on all the time and I can pack a lot in it. I guess we will see after I get the side bags.
I paid $325 for the saddleline bags, $125 for the vision cycles bareback. They are same size as HD bags, I can carry a 15" macbook, lunch, jacket, passenger half helmet and more. What a great combo! On and off in a minute
Thanks he got his new order of the Dyna bags today and I already have them on the way. Amazing there are so few options for one of the most popular bikes.
