Default Shorter Jiffy Stand Install

So I have a motorcycle jack I got off craigslist for when I did my burly slammer kit. I had to roll the rear tire onto a paver block to give it a little extra height and then the jack would slide under evenly and I can jack it up.

Now attempting the same method to change out my jiffy stand to a shorter one and the jack sits right where the jiffy folds up. Has to be in the up position to get the jack under otherwise the spring won't allow it to slide all the way under.

What the hell! Any tips or input to get this done with having to use a shop lift?

I leaned my bike against the wall in the garage to change mine last week.

I cheated because I have air ride and could jack it it.

But I had a friend hold it up while I did it. This way you could lean it the other direction as well. Roll it up on blocks would help too.

was in the exact same situation. had someone hold my bike for a few minutes. Super super easy. just get someone you trust to hold your bike at a heavy lean, i used to my brother. have them lean it as far as comfortable, itll be high enough to work. take yuh 10 minutes
