Was disappointed to learn of the relatively few selections of wheel styles available for my 2012 Wide Glide. The one style that looked killer was the Reaper in Black Ice but they did NOT make one in 21" and did not have matching rotors to go with.
Am I missing something re: 21" wheels? Even looking at a few aftermarket sources, the offerings were minimal, not to my liking or were ridiculously expensive.
Holy ****. Slow down with the responses, guys. I can only read so many letters in the alphabet. Then I gotta get my dog to help me figure out the rest.
I have not really looked that closely.I see many Wg. With custom wheels. Have you looked at a little wider then stock rim ? Some are running the wider 18"s on the back. This also opens up tire options.
It's not the back wheel I'm concerned about- it's the front- at 21" there aren't a lot of options out there other than some custom-mades and some overpriced Arlen Ness.
There was also the issue of the rotors not matching with the wheels. My HD service guy also noticed that.
Guess I'm a little bummed that they feature the wheel style I wanted (Reaper in Black Ice) but only in 19" config on the HD website, under the category for 2012 WG's. Why would HD put 19" wheels up on the page for 2012 FXDWG's when the front is 21"?
Is it possible (and/or common) to go to a smaller front wheel size on the WG's?
