range till empty with power vision tune dont seem right ?
i noticed when i fill up the bike my range till empty read 129 it use to read 189 or more and now it seems like after the power vision tune it droped like a rock. this aint normal is it or should i call fuel moto and explain to them ?
the ecu range finder should correct itself some after a while riding. when you reflash it has to figure it out again. running autotune several times is recommended as well. took 5 or 6 sessions ( 150+miles each) in mixed riding conditions before it stopped making adjustments.
the range finder has never been really accurate for me. even before tuning. i was getting 41 mpg highway with their tune on my 09 fatbob.
Trying to tune my new fatbob with the powervision also. Over last couple tunes (bout 90 miles each) it's changed a bit. Still keep my eyes on my trip meter though.
Go into the trip center, it will show trip A and trip B. I use Trip A, You will need to reset A and reset the tripmeter on the bike, then go for ride using most of a tank of gas, first when you get to the gas station check the mileage in the trip center vs the tripmeter on the bike. more than likely the two will be different, change the mileage in the trip center manually and note the column that says correction, press it and it will have a number like 1.234, change it to that and hit save. next time your mileage will be close if not right on. then go down to fuel used in the trip center and push in the amount of gas youy put in the tank, again go to the correction column and put in that number and push save. All this will do the math for mpg's. I have done the gas used several times to get it closer. This should help.
