any ideaz for the spanner so i can crank my preloads up or down. im sure the stealer has one but you know...........$$$$$$

I looked it up on e-bay just for fun, a search of "harley shock tool" found several offered for around $10. The adjustments are easy, only hard part is standing on your head to see "up" the chrome cover to verify which setting you are on.

Sears strap wrench. Plenty of other uses as well.

Just count the clicks and you can tell where you are at on the adjustment. That strap wrench is a great idea...I have one and never even thought of using it.

Harder or softer. It doesn't effect the height.

Got mine from local indy. Custom Chrome brand I remember it was under $5.
