Default Digital gear indicator
Does anybody know if on a Fat Bob fxdf if the gas tank has to be removed to inthis item , I have read both ways?? ????

unbolt the tank and slide back will give you the room too axcess the wires in the neck... If you haven't brought one yet look at the Dakota pgr-1000 better unit

I looked up the Dakota, looks ok but costs about the same, why do you think it is better???

I'm guessing whichever one you think looks better is the one you should go with...

Being kinda old school, what is the purpose of this?
Is it just to see what gear your in?
I know when to change by sound or by a tach...
Just curious

You may be better off with the Speedo/Tach combo. It has a gear indicator and fuel gauge included. I don't have the part number handy.

Dakota is bigger and in your eye sight while rideing the bike, the Harley one would be good at night but not sure on day time rideing. for me I use the Dakota 5000 speedo and below it the Dakota tacho , but lost my job so the gear indacator must wait, but its up too each other what we like
