My 2 cents. Only get the 444s if you can't afford JRI, Ohlin, Ricor or other shock that is built for you. 444s can be had for about $425.
I got the 444s on the super glide. While better than stock, I feel drops too harshly. Ricors gave me a much better ride on my sportster, although they were also 13".
I have 13" progressive 444's...I can't complain and would recommend them to others..but would not compare them to Ricors, JRI's and Ohlins...those are a totally different price range.
Thanks everyone for the advice, I'm leaning towards the 11.5" 444s now. They sound like enough of an improvement for my situation that wouldn't break the bank.
If this is the route I do decide to take, should I go standard or heavy duty for my 125lb passenger's sake?

standard. you'll just twist them to stiffen them.
consider any low hanging items such as your pipe and the lean angle...
provide a review once you've gotten them installed.
I went with Arnott Air Ride this off-season. I had the standard-duty 11" Progressive 412s. They never bottomed out for me and I always left them on the softest setting. Of course, I didn't have a passenger either.
Mine are going to be up for sale soon as I box them up. I would part with them for very cheap.
These was what I was looking at. If they are black PM me price
I'm 5'6 and weight 165, I had 412's and even for me in the softest setting I may as well be riding a hard tail. Worst ride ever! Have the monroe air ride now and love it!!!!
