How much do you want 9°, 14° or 18°?

Mud, Just wondering where you found this info?
low, when I researched this in 06,
the info was readily available on the internet.

All the links I have to those pages are now obsolete,
I guess cause the 08s are the thing now.

One of my links went here, updated to 07 models:

http://www.harleydavidson-motorcycle.net/page/3/

Gotta go back and edit my 06-07 statement,
appears that in 07 the FXDC also uses the raked trees.

When the 06s were on the showroom floor, I also verified
this for myself by actually measuring frame to fork relationship.

Yes, raked trees will do what you want to do.
So will lowering the rear and increasing the diameter of the front wheel and so will lengthening the forks.
BUT, here is a must read article thatwill expalain everythingto anyone who has an interest in this subject. Mike the Chromer
http://www.jpcycles.com/Tech/Articles/tripletrees.aspx

Good article,I have been thing about the triple tree thing too.
So, Putting shorter shocks on my bob, will it lower the the rear and change the front rake? and then put an 4" fork tube extention and maybe a 21" front tire, To give my bike the chopped bob look and still handle good? Is this the way to go??

Thanks much Puddle. That is awesome information.
I have to say though I'm a bit shocked that HD would use the trees to accomplish this instead of just building it into theneck.
I guess there must be a reason for this.
I've always thought of raked trees as being a less than perfect way to gain overall rake.
I'm wondering if your info is accurate for the 07 models as well.
I can visually see some differences in rake on some of the Dyna models but I assumed it was a fnction of the neck and not the trees.
I've learned something today, thank you.
Sounds like all I need to do is find some stock trees from a wide glide as I'm only looking to increase the rake on my FXD by say 3 degrees and 2 would be fine with me.

Here is a good rake calculator to use:

mike, as to -
"use the treesto accomplish this instead of just building it into theneck"

The dynas have two frames.
WG, and, the others.

So, apparentlyresearch by HDsays that the LowRider
doesn't need to be tooled up with a complete new frame
for the 1 1/2 degree rake they were looking for.
New part number for trees only was the way to go.
Myownself, don't see a problem, trees raked opposed to neck.

as to - accuracy of the 07 info.
I haven't physically measured the 07s,
as I did the 06 line.

As for finding WG trees, should be easy enough.
Worst case scenario, you order these from HD.

But, now you open up another can of worms.
They are wider.
So, now you need spacers,
maybe (probably)different wheel, etc.

And, for me,
this would complicate conversion to dual front brakes.
(the 21" wheel will not accept a caliper on the right side)
Way complicated.

Search for forum member WS6Formula.
He has the WG trees on his 06 LowRider
and it is a really nicely executed conversion.

He has posted extensive information,
with part numbers included, regarding this conversion.

Good luck with your project,
and keep us updated, whichever way you proceed.

Finally getting around to doing something with this.
My 07 FXD is stock at 29 degrees and I am about to install some 5 degreeAcutronix trees as we speak.
Problem is that when I do the calculations, I need to run 6 over fork tubes just to get back to a 3.2 trail.
and that is factoring in using a 21" wheel in thefront and lowering the rear about 1.5" by using 11" shocks.
I'd love to see some pics of a 5 degree set up with or without oer tubes.
By the way, I'm using the stock spacing as I like the look of these mid glidish forks.
