So, I'm heading North in June and was thinking about stopping in at Corbin to have them make me a custom saddle. Has anyone else done this? If so... thoughts?
The stocker on my ride isn't awful, but it isn't great. Ok, it's not good. I also don't want to spend hundreds repeatedly to find something I like.
From what I heard you sir choosed the only way to have a ''nice'' customer service and a corbin seat to your liking, by phone or mail corbin is one of the worst company ever but I think that face to face it's better and there's less chance of F*** up
I've used a few Corbin seats in the past and have never been disappointed in the quality or comfort. There have been a lot of complaints about their service over the past few years. No response, screwing up orders, etc.
There have also been several comments about visiting their shop and talking to them. People seem to be very happy with that experience.
In the end, I wouldn't hesitate to run a Corbin seat, but because I'm on the east coast, I wouldn't do the internet/phone order thing.
Have a custom Corbin on the BMW it is a very nice seat. Real pleased with the quality, and comfort of the seat. Now for my Harley I have ordered a Sick Saddle seat.
I live on the east coast also and have just completed the Corbin Custom Seat process. I went on their web page and did my window shopping. After I had decided exactly what I wanted I made the call. My experience was pleasant the lady I talked to was very friendly and professional. Everything went without a hitch. The seat arrived right on time and fit like a glove. Very pleased with the whole thing. I will definitely purchase another Corbin seat if I ever get a different bike.
I have had Corbins in the past with success (though I had a fit issue once before) . . I recently ordered another one. NEVER again! You can see my experience in another thread. I should have listened to people who said "don't do it!". Things have obviously changed in the past few years and they (and Mike Corbin) don't seem to give a sht about customer service or quality! IF you can go there and have it built / installed it seems to be a different story and some people do get lucky with them through shipping, but I would in no way take the chance again. It's well over 60 days since I ordered and I still don't have my seat after it had to be sent back. I have heard some people go much longer than that due to shipping them back several times for fit / quality issues.
