sorry, at work, no pics, but i have a sundowner seat for passengers, and a stock bob solo seat for cruising.
i have a sissy bar with a back rest pad, and it looks a bit out of place when i'm rolling with the solo seat...
i dont feel like taking the sissy bar struck-brackets (or whatever they are called) out, and think if i could get a really low profile sissy bar to replace the seat pad one, it would be alright.
i've checked amazon and ebay, but couldnt find anything that fits what im looking for.
basically just something to put in the brackets without standing up too high.
or, if you guys convince me a sissy bar backrest with a solo seat is socially acceptable, i will just do that.
Why not get a quick disconnect sissy bar. Pops on in off in a few seconds and you can use it when you need it. I picked mine up used on eBay for about half of what HD wanted.
Mine stays on all the time. I leave the pad off. Would love a Bowman Welding bar, but unemployed at the moment. Wife has her own bike, but if she wants to ride with me I put the 2 up seat on and I don't have worry about her falling off.
I ran a 24" bowman sissy bar with a solo seat for a most of last riding season. I'd passenger pad on if I was giving a girl a ride but I thought the look was cool. No pad on the sissy, though.
The sissy bar without the pad may look okay with a solo - or get a detachable mount
I have a detachable and throw it only when I'm riding solo when I toss a bag over it to carry stuff
