Not sure about what years that have it, but my 2013 does. It is easily enabled with a Power Vision or you can ask the dealer to enable it at your next service.
I can also change the on and off temps with my PV, but I've never really used it. I tried it out when I first got the PV, and found it didn't really make much difference in temps at idle. But if you live somewhere hot, it might make a difference. It rarely gets above 80* outside where I live.
Mine seems to get pretty hot even if it's 60 degrees and I'm going from light to light in town. Can easily go over 300 degrees. Wanting to get the PV and thinking this could be another reason that I "need" it. I have Dakota speedo, that's how I'm reading the head temp. Right now I have the FM Micro Tuner.
I read my head temps with my PV, which probably uses the same input as your Dakota. My bike will hit 300 on hot days if I get stuck at a lot of lights, but my oil temp rarely exceeds 260, so I don't sweat it.
The PV offers a lot of cool stuff besides tuning. I like it so much that I permanently mounted it inside my fairing.
My 12 has EITMS. There is a magic sequence to enable it, documented in the owner manual. Once enabled, when at idle, and certain preset head temperature, it shuts off the rear cylinder. Search this forum for EITMS, there is a lot discussion on it.
