Bassani makes great 2-1 pipes that will fit your year. The chrome finish is great. I had the 1D5250, which was great but too loud for my taste. I switched to the 13122J, which is still loud, but much less so. I originally had a V&H 2-1, and the Bassanis feel much stronger above 3000 rpms than the V&H.
I have both in my "cart" on Amazon. They have decent prices on them. I like both, for different reasons.
The 5250 is a little shorter, upswept just a touch, and has side-by-side pipes entering the collector. Hides more of the bland swingarm, and give some ground clearance.
The 13212 is a little longer and has stacked tubes at the collector. But it has stepped head tubes, whereas the 5250 isn't stepped.
With the motor I have, I think I'd like larger primary tubes than the 5250 offers. Honeslty I'd like 1 7/8" to 2" the full length to the collector. Only company I know doing that is RB, and I don't want to wait 4-6 weeks for them

Trust me I know the feeling I have an 01 and let's just said any electrical desire you have most only work for 06 and yup. Not fun, our year models have just as much potential the newer ones. The other thing that ticked me off I even I found out I couldn't get a se 120r, the stealer told me to upgrade my motorcycle and in was like um why?
you can put a 120r in a 01 dyna, no problem been done numerous times(use the search function or google)....the dealers go by what is in the book, some of them have no mechanical knowledge. seems like out here in CA fxdx and fxdxt are just as common as fxdb models, and the older bikes have no problem running with the newer bikes. although you might want to consider building a hot motor vs a crate motor.
thanks for the tip. I checked them out. They only have one 2-1 pipe. I'm not sold on the looks or build quality. The y-pipe looks like it has a giant weld bead around it. Is yours like that?
And holy crap, that has to be about the least user friendly site I've been on while shopping pipes.
Edit: I like their high mount 2-1 pipe. but it doesn't appear to be made for dynas, and I'd be in trouble if I removed the passenger pegs lol

I had a Basanni Road Rage and it was a really good but loud pipe. I waited for quite awhile to have the RB racing pipe built but it was worth every second of the wait.
Timberwolfz28, there is a weld like you said on the y-shield. These pipes are well built and work really good with my S&S 583 cams for strong low to mid range rpm power. They make my bike sound bigger than it is.
I don't think its forgotten, you just gotta realize harley has sold a massive massive number of efi dynas. So from 2006-2014, thats a lotta efi dynas and owners to go with em. would love someday to get an fxdx or fxdxt to have a place next to my 2012 fxdf

good luck
Thanks for the tip. I wish I lived in California but sadly Michigan I do. I don't want to do crate motor anymore I'm just going to bore it out. I'm just hoping to get around 138 hp, well see though.
Also I'm planning on doing a bassini road rage as well don't know the number though

Because CONSUMERISM, that's why. The MoCo (and every other vehicle company) benefits most from selling new models every year by taking in trade-ins from buyers, keeping them on a leash with monthly payments for as long as possible.
