Ok I got a set of 13 spoke mags they are from an 02 I already know I need to drill them out to accept 25mm axle. I know the front is going to require new outside spacers to center the wheel between the forks since the hub is a little more than 1/2" narrower than my factory lace wheel. I've read countless threads and have seen a couple of guys tackle this what I haven't seen is a complete breakdown of what you need in the hub itself. I seen bobber state what bearings axle sleeve and shim to use in 06/07 mags to fit 08+ don't know if that applies to these 13 spoke mags. And then there's the rear more questions. I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing these questions I just don't feel any thread/post I've read is adequate. Any way any help is much appreciated I have a 13' fxdb I've got my fxdf lower touring brembos floating rotors master cylinder and lines ready to go so id like to get this sorted out big time.
I'm working on the same thing and have both a 2007 sportster 13 spoke rear and a 2001 FXDX-T rear wheel. Both seem to measure out the same as far as hub width and from the side of the spokes to the hub flange. I can't tell that they are different that way like others have said as far as late model sportster wheels having an offset.
Any info would be great!
I've done measuring for the distance between the front forks and, separately, the width of the hub from my new 13 spoke wheel and i've decided to center it between the forks for equal spacing for each caliper. I'm having my spacers made to 1.115" and hope to have those soon.
The attached pictures are the 2007 sportster wheel with a stock dunlop 150-80-16 tire and the 2006 street bob spoked wheel with a 170-60-17 Metzeler. I made them sepia tone so i could see more of the tire and bike in the shadows. The 13 spoke wheel looks like it might be biased towards the pulley side a slight bit.
Yea I've figured out that the rear wheel hub is the same width has my stock lace wheel the difference is obviously the bearing bore which is deeper to accept the 21mm thick bearing. So what I got going on is using the 25mm bearing that comes on the 08 up touring models which is 25x52x21mm and using 25mm axle sleeves that are cut to the same exact width as a 2000-2005 fxd sleeve front and rear. Once that's setup the rear will fit with the stock spacers that came on the bike front will fit centered with new outside spacers if you are doing dual disc like I am
I'll update this thread tomorrow as I have all part numbers/parts list now for what you need to do this conversion which is 2000-2005 13 spoke mags to 2006/07 and 2008+ Fxdb nothing needs to be machined/fabbed etc.
Also when I do the math for spacer size I come up with 1.0625 which is 1 1/16" I'll confirm tomorrow but 1.115 is about a mm and a half too wide I think

I'm working on the same set up. 02 tsport mags on my 2011 sb. Can you give me the breakdown
I forgot the exact measurements for the front wheel spacers but those two spacers will be different widths. If you take a measurement, divide by two and get two spacers cut the same width, your front wheel will be offset and will throw your alignment off
