Nice Bikes, y'all.... Here is my 2011 Superglide Custom. Kindof going for an "Old Skool" look with some current technology. The only other thing that I still want to do to it is Forward Controls with footboards.
Tomorrow, I'm going to install the old style spotlights and turn signals, and toss out the turn signals that are currently mounted on the handlebars.
The spotlights and the headlight bucket are all powdercoated gloss black with chrome trim rings to match the bikes paint.
I will post a couple of pics with the spotlights installed in a couple of days....
Function over form. My sportster is on the receiving end of some serious hate for having a 1976 pacifico fairing on it- but looks aside, it has done wonders for the bike's usability.
had 10" steel struts on it, but the vibrations from the drivetrain kept causing them to fail right at the welds (everything else is rubber mounted and can move a bit when the engine is running, and when the strut attempted to stop all that movement, it lost). It currently has stock showa shocks with no springs. same 10" center to center, but with bushings in the eyelets to prevent (i hope) catastrophic failure.
