Nope, you didn't rev-match between 5th and 6th. It might be possible to do it between first and second with a neutral in between, but not between 5th and 6th.

Motorcycle transmissions are basically what we used to call a "crashbox" in a racing car. No synchros, no neutral between gears, and no possibility of rev matching. You just crash the next gear.

I remember on of such discussions from past, I tried to explain how things work until some of those wannabe pundits chimed in letting me know motorcycles have constant mesh transmissions and no synchro nor clutch is needed.

Hmm idk if I agree with that.. Clutch is definitely needed IMO ... I'm no pro but that just sounds so sketchy switching gears without a clutch all the time.

myownself, I do not recommend it.

kills the dogs.

I know this from personal experience.

did it for a while. it was great. almost like shifting with an automatic trans.

**** hit the fan.

pulled the trans assembly out.

stopped counting at 400 bux damage.

guy at the shop had a used trans for 400.

slid it in and back on the road..............
