I spent most of the day cutting down my Memphis Shades windshield to get rid of the horrible helmet buffeting. I wear a full face helmet. I got it down to about 11"(started at 18") and drilled some holes in the shield above the headlight visor. Much better. Keeps the wind off my chest and now my helmet is in mostly clean air. I will probably get a MS cafe fairing soon.
Now I need some saddlebags. Trying to learn about all the options. I have settled on the leather pro's, for now. I have a quick release detachable sissy bar and want to retain that.
I still need to upgrade the suspension. But not in a rush. When I got the bike my impression was the front end had way too much dive and it was difficult to handle at low speed. Now that i have modified my riding to using more rear brake the suspension is good. I came from sport bikes and rarely used the rear brake on the street.
I am really enjoying riding again. So far I have been to Maggie Valley Thunder in the Smokies, Myrtle Beach Bike week and going to Rockingham next week.

Glad to hear you are getting your bike customized to your tastes. Sounds nice. I am about to hit 40K on mine soon.
Finally got my new front wheel and tire fitted. I realise many prefer the look of wire wheels, but I'm really pleased with this more original look.
Way to go...definitely! Wire wheels are 50 year old technology. FYI...I heard that tires are getting very hard to get. Just back from my local H-D dealer and bought a set for each bike...almost $1,100...

They certainly are. I had to wait weeks for this one.
