Its one of favorites. Of course there are many roads in the US I've never explored. Its truly a great ride, 469 miles with no commercial vehicles, no stop lights or stop signs. Amazing views all around. Just gotta watch out for people pulling out of scenic overlooks.

I'm lucky to live about 2 hours from the parkway. I had appointments this afternoon so I left at 7 am, 2 hours there 2 hours riding the parkway and 2 hours back. Just in time for lunch!

Looks like a nice a ride. I rode to work today. Third ride since I got my bike back last Sat. All is good. I got about 250 miles since new battery. I hope this continues. Riding to work tomorrow as well.

Agreed. A gray LR is something you will not see in this thread until now.

I was working in the garage relocating my rear turn signals and mounting the HD Saddlebags I found on Craigslist when one of my neighbors stopped by. I've known this kid for over 30 years (since he was about 10) and there are two things he really does well. Ride a motorcycle and fix anything with an engine.

I told him how much I loved the bike except for the Vance and Hines exhaust and how loud it was and the terrible decel popping I was getting. He walked over to the bike and looked at my exhaust and pointed out the exhaust has no baffles (DOH!).

I guess the previous owner liked a real loud bike and plenty of decel popping.

I actually may end up liking the exhaust after I get a set of baffles in there. A set of quiet baffles is on my list for sure.

175 miles today, I rode with 3 friends. What an amazing day! I must've passed 200 bikes. I think everybody in the county who had a bike was out riding.

I have the quiet baffles in my Big Shots. Sounds better with them in my opinion.

The quiet baffles will help with noise level, popping and improve both the tone and the performance vs no baffles. You are in for a treat
