From all the reviews I read of the new softtail "Dynas" the new suspension is an improvement over true Dynas. Also more ground clearance. I rode a 2018 Fat Bob 114 and it rode nicely. I plan to demoing the LR S and LR ST if they are on the truck when it comes to my area.

Me either...the LR only has a little over 18K miles, and while the Bagger has almost 45K, it is in excellent mechanical condition, and I have a lot of money in that bike...$4K in the Stage IV setup alone. I have a lot of toys and other hobbies, so don't ride as much as I used to...

I am at a bit over 42K in 7 years. Living in IL, I am only getting about 6000 miles in a year. A lot of life left in my bike. And your LR is barely broken-in. I'm told TC 103s will go 100,000 miles and then some.

This is good to know! I picked up mine with 28k miles and once I hit 30k Ill be doing all the recommended service and changing all fluids. Any one-stop-shop ie Amazon, for what fluids to get? I know theres plenty of threads on what to run. Just wondering what you guys think.

Yes...I had 78K on my 2005 88TC, Electra Glide Classic before I traded it, but that bike was getting a little long in the tooth. I also didn't find the 5 gallon tank, 5 speed tranny, or an 88 c.i. motor suitable for my riding needs. I also had a an 88TC 2006 LR. It had a 6-speed tranny, but I can't tell you how much of a better bike it is with the bigger 103 c.i. engine, I've owned 5 Harley's in the past 17 years, about 175,000 miles, and never had one drop of oil on my garage floor. Harley makes a much better bike than the old days, and a properly maintained bike should give you 100K miles easily...

All my service work has been done at the dealer I bought the bike from. I do not do my own service work. So no recommendation on any good Amazon shops for fluids. I have always run AMS syth oils. The same young mechanic who set up my bike with the Stage 1 and tuning back in 2015 has done all my service work since. Done two external breather systems for me. Having a mechanic who knows your bike is a big plus,

I've only been using Red Line lubricants for years. Not cheap but you'd be hard pressed to find a better product...tens of thousands of trouble free miles...the "Shock Proof" gear oil is the best product on the market, bar none...I swear by them...
When I bought my Low Rider it had Red Line in it, so I continued to.use that. When I bought my '14 Street Glide a few months ago, I mentioned to the tech at the dealership that I was going to be changing the fluids and using Red Line.
He launches into this thing and says, "Every failed transmission I've ever pulled apart had Red Line in it. You should see how it chews up bearings."
I know there's millions of miles on their products, and I couldn't find anything on the web backing up his claims.
This same service department was telling somebody a few weeks later that if they bought Dunlop tires from a non-Harley source, they would be getting B stock/ blem tires. More bunk!
