Realized I haven't posted a pic. Stage 1, Bassani slip-on, dealer download. I know probably should get tuner but retired and fixed income. Maybe next year. This is a perfect bike for me. What a blast, makes feel 25 years younger.

Very nicely done. The dealer download should be fine with a slip-on. How does your LR sound? Do you get much popping on de-accelaration?
More than I would like but seems to have improved lately. Not sure why, cooler weather maybe or the tech said it would take time for the ecu to learn. Whatever it's not much worse than before the stage 1. Going to give it time until my warranty expires then based on $ we'll see. The Bassani is almost perfect for me. Doesn't disturb the neighbors but has a nice aggressive but not obnoxious tone when I open it up. In a perfect world wouldn't mind a little deeper tone at idle.

Dobietrainer, What is the Bassani slip-on part number? Where did you buy it? Is it reasonably priced? Retired and fixed income here too.
Thanks in advance!
Bassani part number 1D17R. Shown on the Bassani web site to fit the Switchback but obviously will also fit the Low Rider. Bought at the local Harley dealer. They actually had one on a new Low Rider on the showroom floor. Started it up and let me listen. Think it was around $299. Dealer installed it when they did the stage 1. I like it but wish it was a little deeper and a tiny bit louder but that is really splitting hairs. You might also consider a Vance and Hines slip on. Seems to be very popular and most people seem to be happy with them. I just preferred the look of the Bassani and tend to beat to a different drummer.
Had one my 14 LR and liked it with same reservarions mentioned above. It was close enough that I adapted its design to a shortened stock can with 3" baffle. That added enough depth and volume to satisfy me.
Ike, if I get a tuner I will probably get the PV. Do you actually make adjustments while riding? Did you get with a map already installed and how close was the map to flash and forget. I for one do not want any electronic device on my handlebar. I'm more of a flash and hopefully forget where I put the unit.

Tell us a bit about your LR. Any pics? Always like to hear what others have done. What their experiences have been.
