Somebody needs to track down a source for those sealing washers. They should be about 20 cents each...

I know. HD fuel filter & o-ring was $20. Fuel inlet sock was $30. With screws, that's almost $90 in parts.

Fortunately I was able to get a 3-pack of the socks from Quantum Fuel Systems for $1717. I'll bevusing one on the Street Glide next.

I replaced the filter on the Low Rider at 40k, reused the gasket and screws and have no leaks.

Re-reading my post above, the fuel sick 3-pack was $17. Not $1,717. 😂

Not being an instigator, but the service manual says 100,000 miles. That seems like a lot, so I might just do mine at 50,000...

I changed the FF in my Sporty at 30K and it was like a piece of charcoal, so I wasn't surprised when I saw the same in my LR. I can't even imagine what a FF would look like at 100K. No way I was waiting that long, especially since it's been in there 9 years. I'll probably do it every 30K going forward.

Thanks for the heads up. My LR turns 8 in about 9 weeks and I have never had the fuel filter changed. Or at least I do not think so. Need to check my service records.

Finally had my first ride of 2023 today. Just 25 miles but it was fun.
